Jumoke Lambo

PARTNER

Jumoke Lambo is a Partner and co-head of the telecommunications, media & technology, aviation, employment and corporate advisory teams. She heads the business development and corporate immigration teams, and also oversees Alsec Nominees Limited, the firm’s company secretarial practice. Her specialisations include foreign investment, regulatory compliance, TMT, aviation, capital markets, employment law, and mergers & acquisitions.

Jumoke participated in the Judges Conference organised by the Nigerian Communications Commission in 2015, where she led the training on the implications of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition,) Prevention Etc. Act 2015. She was a member of the team that drafted the Communications Act 2003 and has assisted various operators within and outside the telecommunications sector with establishing and doing business in Nigeria. She also advises a variety of investors on the acquisition of interests in Nigerian companies, as well as regulatory compliance.

Outside of UUBO, she successfully restructured the legal departments of Etisalat Nigeria and recently, Union Bank of Nigeria PLC.

Jumoke is recognised by the Nigerian edition of Who’s Who Legal for her M&A practice. Her work has also been noted in the International Financial Law Review’s Expert Guides. She is a fellow of the Centre for International Legal Studies (CILS), and sits on the board of the International LLM Programme of the Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts in cooperation with the Eotvos University, Budapest, Hungary and the CILS.


Jumoke was recently named the winner of the Most Outstanding [individual] in Employment Law Services category by Corporate Livewire. She regularly writes and presents papers on environmental law, foreign investment and telecommunications law and practice, and serves on the boards of various companies and charitable organisations.
